CLINICS

The following clinics are held on a regular basis. Please enquire at reception for dates and times.

Antenatal

Shared antenatal care is provided in conjunction with the midwife. Please make an appointment as soon as your pregnancy is confirmed.

Asthma Clinic

The practice nurse is available by appointment to review and monitor patients with asthma.

Diabetic Clinic

It is important that patients understand the importance of regular visits to the surgery regarding diabetes. Diabetic patients are encouraged to attend this clinic.

Blood Pressure Clinic

If you suffer from raised blood pressure the doctor may ask you to attend the practice nurse to have your blood pressure monitored.

Child Health Surveillance

Routine checks are made in conjunction with the health visitor and Dr Cheung to ensure that your child is growing and developing normally. Patients will be sent an appointment when a check-up is due.

Children's Vaccination/Immunisation

The doctor and health visitor carry out childrenås vaccinations on the first two Wednesdays of every month. Your child will receive an appointment. Alternative appointments can be arranged.

Flu Vaccination

Patients with diabetes, heart, lung or kidney disease will be offered an annual vaccination to help protect against the effects of flu. Patients aged 65 and over will also be offered immunisation. The practice recommends these patients to have a flu vaccination.

Travel Clinic

The practice offers up-to-date information and immunisation regarding foreign travel. Please make an appointment with the practice nurse at least one month before travelling.

Well Women

Dr Allan runs weekly clinics for cervical smears and womenås health issues.

Health Promotion Clinics

Help with smoking cessation and weight reduction is also offered to patients.

Patients Aged 75 and Over

We offer an annual check-up to those patients who are 75 years and over. A member of the practice team at the surgery will see you or, if you are housebound, a home visit can be arranged.

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided by the GPs are not covered by the NHS contract and a fee may be payable. These include private certificates, non-NHS medical reports, HGV licences and pre-employment medicals. Details are available from reception.
